A two-day tournament was held for fans of FIFA, CS: GO and League of Legends
The first phase of the LINK eSports project was scouting, while the second involved a competition in the form of a tournament, where teams made up of students from five different colleges and high schools competed. The teams first competed against each other, and then each team with two other teams at the same time.
Brilliant teamwork and skill of eSportsmen came to the fore
LINK eSports gathered its students in the Net Cafe Escape gaming center and won against CS: GO, LoL and FIFA teams in a two-day LAN competition, and the organizer of the event announced that it is planned to hold this tournament once again in the summer.
In addition to the students from Information Technology School (ITS), representatives of Savremena Gimnazija, Information Technology High School (ITHS), International School and the Faculty of Contemporary Arts in Belgrade also took part.
As with everything in life, the most important thing is to approach something for the right reasons. Positive motivation is what kept the players engaged and we are glad that fair play was more important to them than winning.
During the tournament, there was a lot of love for eSports and competition, and a sense of pride that they felt because they were contributing to the development of the community and the team. We can conclude that all the teams are great because students who possess key skills have gathered in one place. Those are patience, perseverance, an excellent sense of leadership, concentration and the ability to develop a good strategy.
This is just the beginning. We are looking forward to future tournaments and can’t wait for the teams to play together and come up with their strategies.
